Electrostatic Discharge ProtectorsElectrostatic discharge protectors are the most important components which protect sensitive circuits of electric equipment against damages by static electricity. These can be circuits of mobile phones, laptops, netbooks, digital cameras, and other home electronic appliances. There is a growing demand for expanding functionality of mobile devices as well as for reducing sizes of modern integral circuits. So it has become more difficult to provide a good protection against damages by electrostatic discharge. Many designs offer either the insufficient suppression rate or such rate which reduces under the influence of multiple discharges. Murata Company managed to solve these problems by having manufactured a series of silicon and ceramic electrostatic discharge protectors. We introduce you LXES series. Both types of devices have high suppression rate, high resistance to multiple discharges, and ultra-low capacity. Such properties allow using the devices in high-speed data transmission systems. Silicon components of LXES series have small capacity (up to 0.25 picofarads). This minimizes signal losses in high-speed data transmission lines. The series also has high suppression rate with output voltage less than 100 V at the input voltage of 15 kV.
